The forked spacer plate from a medieval cast copper-alloy composite buckle. A worn and plain oval shaped frame with a pointed lip. In section the frame is trapezoidal; the reverse and inner faces are flat. There is a notch in the frame which holds a bent wire pin. The forker spacer continues for 11.1mm. Each prong has seemingly been broken at this point following old damage. The plates have been lost. Such buckles are often found in fourteenth-century contexts.
