Measurements: Diameter 19.79 mm Thickness 1.07 mm weight 2.8 g. North 140, no. 2063. Mint probably London. c.1574.
According to North (1991, 140), it is likely that rather than being used as tokens, these objects were probably used as political medalets or counters (North 1991, 140) during the reign of elizabeth I. Despite not being a coin this token type has been designated as no. 2062 by North (1991, 140).
