A worn silver solid long-cross farthing of Edward II (AD.1307-1327). The obverse shows a crowned head facing. There is a forked end visible on the right hand side of the drapery. This is a new issue coin with inner circles on both sides. The coin appears to have an oval flan. The obverse legend reads +[...]RDVS[RE]XA. The reverse shows three pellets per quarter, although the third quarter (bottom left) is very worn. The reverse legend reads [CIVI]/TAS/[LON]/DON. The A's are unbarred and the backs of any C's and E's are unclear due to wear. This is probably a type 30b coin based on the nose and smaller bust which would give a date of AD.1310-1314. The die axis is 3 o'clock.
