An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) silver sceat issued at Ribe, Denmark (675-750). Series X, English variety (Abramson 2006: 15 and 74).

Obverse: Facing 'Wodan' head with splayed hair, pelleted moustache, pellet cross either side with pellets below, pellet outline.

Reverse: Monster in flight left, looking back, gaping jaws biting tail, prominent member, clawed feet below, pellet outline.

Diameter: 11.8mm. Weight: 0.65g. DA=12:12.
