A complete but misshapen Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy pin (c. 700- c. 900).
The undecorated head is circular in plan and biconical in form with a vestigial collar beneath the head. The pin shaft tapers to a point and is circular in cross-section. Beneath the collar the shaft has a maximum diameter of 2.0mm.
This pin is reddish brown overall.
Length (if straightened): c. 60.0mm; diameter of head: 6.9mm; height of head: 5.6mm. Weight: 1.76g.
