Sheet copper alloy mount, main section gently curved across its width, this area bears incised decoration the details of which are unclear but may have been zoomorphic.Below this are the remains of what appears to have been openwork, perhaps architectural. From the top of central panel extend two narrow arms through each of which were two iron rivets/nails. This object might have been the face plate from a scabbard locket and would perhaps be better viewed inverted. Length 33.4mm, Width 18.9mm, Thickness (of sheet) 1.1mm, Mass 5.11g
