A complete but fractured and bent Medieval silver penny of Edward I (1272-1307), minted at London. Class 8a, 1294-1299 (North 1991: 30, ref: 1034/1).
Obverse: EDWAR ANGL DNS hYB; Crowned bust facing with a trifoliate crown and wedged drapery.
Reverse: CIVI/TAS/LON/DON; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 18.6mm. Weight: 1.37g. DA=12:11.
