A post medieval French douzain of uncertain ruler dating to AD 1500-1600. Counter marked with a fleur de lis on the obverse face. Both sides are badly worn and the obverse has also possibly been deliberately worn away and then remarked with the letter H and the date 1561 and a second letter, possibly a B. This may represent the use of the coin as a token of affection between a couple with a significant date. SOM-BFF4E7 has a similar counter marking.
