Handle fragment. Circular loop (internal diameter 8mm), there is a break at the top. A rectangular cross section neck with a narrowed waist 5mm wide by 3mm thick extends down from the loop. This extends out in to a rectangular terminal 10mm wide by 9 mm high that has an oval rivet 8mm high 7mm wide, the side of the rivet have been turned over where it has been fixed into place. The artefact has a dark green patina, all tool/filing marks are still visible on the surface.
Similar examples have been found in excavation at Norwich and were dated to 1400-1600, these were attachments that were fitted on to the sides of metal vessels, the loop would have held a handle.
