Seal matrix, circular matrix the diameter is 26mm and 4mm thick, the object is thicker in the centre. There is a suspension loop attached on the top third on the reverse, this loop is bent flat but it is still possible to see the suspension hole. These types of seals became more common with the rise of the merchant class in the 13th and 14th centuries. Other examples have been discovered from contexts that date to the 13th century, such as those found in London.
