Two flint core fragments dating to the late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, c. 3300-1600 BC.
Both are formed of a mid grey flint with a large amount of creamy white cortex surviving. One shows signs of burning with extensive crazing across its surface. Both also have small areas of paler grey white patina visible. They are both discoidal in plan and triangular in cross section.
Measurements:
Flint 1 measures: 27.1mm length 25.4mm width 18.3mm thickness weight 14.35g.
Flint 2 measures: 21.3mm length, 30.2mm width, 19.1mm thickness weight 9.80g
Combined weight 24.22g.
