A complete, Post-Medieval, silver sixpence of Charles I dating to AD 1626. First coinage. Ref: North 1991, no/ 2236; Spink 2012, no. 2807. Obverse - Group B, second bust, in ruff, armour and mantle and inscription: CAROLVS D G MAG BRIT FRA ET HIB. Cross calvary initial mark. Reverse - Square-topped shield over cross fourchee and inscription: CHRISTO AUSPICE REGNO. Date above.
