A modern three-part machine stamped copper alloy military button, with a drawn wire loop threaded into its back. The front bears the image of a cannon and ram below a Queen's Imperial crown, indicating that it is a late Victorian button for the Royal Horse Artillery. A separate back plate bears a stamped maker's back mark: SMITH & WRIGHT (LTD) .BIRMINGHAM.
