A large assemblage of 22 spherical lead shot, probably associated with the pistol, c. AD 1600 - 1700. The majority have indentations and marks indicative of use. The site of the find has yielded a total of over 80 shot of various calibre and is located west of Donnington Castle near the 2nd Battle of Newbury (24th October 1644). Measurement - Diameter of the top right = 12.8mm, Average weight of collection = 10.62gm. Total weight = 233.1gm.
