A complete medieval copper alloy casket key dating to the late 12th to early 14th century. The bow is oval shaped and slopes and narrows into the shank.. The shank is oval shaped in cross section. The bit extends from the terminal end of the shank. Two clefts are cut out of the bit on either side, creating a worn I shape. The end of the shank is hollow and flat. The key has a dark green patina. The key measures 38.7mm in length, 12.2mm in maximum width and weighs 5.70g.

A similar key can be seen in Read 2001, 72, 550.
