An incomplete, cast lead alloy hemispherical button of early post-Medieval date, AD 1500 - AD 1700. It has a domed front surface and a flat reverse, in the centre of which is the stub of an integral attachment loop now mostly missing, and a casting seam. The domed surface of the button is decorated with a central pellet, surrounded by a broad groove, and a series of closely spaced, radiating ribs between the outer edge of the central groove and the edge of the button. The button is 13.6mm in diameter and 7.8mm thick. It weighs 5.28g.

Notes:

The finder reports that the findspot is an ex-burial ground for plague victims
