An almost complete Roman 1st-3rd century silver finger-ring. The hoop is D-shaped and tapering with a fracture at the narrowed lower hoop with possible scarf joint. Rounded shoulders, flat, oval bezel which is decorated with a simply incised with a stylized palm-branch motif, with a saltire above and below. Dull brown-black over silver.
Dimensions : Height: 17mm; Thickness. Hoop: 0.6-2mm; External Diam.: 20.5mm; Internal Diam.: 15.5-16.6mm; W. Shoulder: 3.1 - 6mm; bezel: 8.2 x 11.3mm; Weight: 3.5g.
