Lead spindle whorl, Cast biconvex whorl with a central moulded aperture of diameter 11mm. Moulded decoration comprises thin radial ribs defining compartments, each occupied by three pellets which, unusually, are here so prominent as to approach hemispherical forms; Walton Rogers form C2. The same scheme appears on both sides. Patinated. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1600
