Medieval gilt sheet copper alloy buckle plate, trapezoidal, tapering from the fold towards the outside edge, with a pin slot, frame recesses, an engraved wavy line from one side to the other behind the fold, and five rivet holes, one near the engraved line retaining a convex-headed rivet and two near the inside edge with flat-headed rivets. Very little gilding has survived. Length 34mm. Width 22.2 - 20mm. Much smaller rear part, length 18mm, width 16.2mm. 13th - 14th century
