An incomplete cast copper-alloy annular brooch dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1400). The frame of the brooch is lozenge in cross-section and the upper surface is decorated with raised dots. The recessed pin bar is circular in section, surrounding which is the remaining rectangular-sectioned attachment loop of the pin. The shaft of the pin tapers towards a worn break. The brooch has an external diameter of 34.8mm diameter and the frame is 3.4mm wide and 2.8mm thick. The pin is 13.7mm long, the stem a maximum of 3.2mm wide and 3.3mm thick and the attachment loop 5.4mm external diameter. The entire object weighs 6.10 grams.
