A Medieval copper alloy sexfoil mount, dating to AD 1200-1450. The mount consists of a central rounded sub-conical boss surrounded by six smaller hemispherical bosses, expanding from around its circumference. The reverse of the mount is hollow, with each individual boss having a concave reverse. There is a central perforation, retaining a separate copper alloy wire rivet.
