Five complete and snapped flint blades or bladlets of later Mesolithic date (6000BC - 3500BC). These blades are struck from a core and have the generic crested appearance on their dorsal faces. Many of the blades have been deliberately snapped through the removal of side notches and deliberate breaking. The underside / ventral face of each shows conchoidal rippling and some have evidence of bulb of percussion and / or striking platforms. All the blades have some form of retouch along their long edges - this is best described as being disorganised short, sub-parallel, semi-abrupt which creates a serrated cutting or possibly scraping edge. A few examples are also retouched along the butt where the bulbar scar has been removed or tidied. The colour of the flint varies between light grey - dark black and some have a mily white coloured surface patina.
