A silver hammered coin dating from the Medieval period: a cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-72), provincial phase, 1248-50, Class 3b. Minted by Walter at Bristol. North no. 987. The coin has a diameter of 17.68mm, a thickness of 0.6mm, and weighs 0.59g. Obverse: bust facing forward, no sceptre, [hENR]ICVS REX [III]. Reverse: voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant, WAL[TER ON B]RVS (AL ligated). Compare also Spink (2018) no. 1363, p. 169.
