A fragment of a post-Medieval copper-alloy spoon (1600-1725).
The stem (handle) is missing due to a break.
The remains of the spoon consist of an oval-shaped bowl. A sub-triangular 'rat tail' terminal which was affixed to the stem extends about 30% of the length of the underside of the bowl.
This spoon bowl is dull green and has a high tin content to emulate pewter.
Length: 31.5mm; width: 17.3mm; thickness: 4.0mm. Weight: 2.35g.
The size of the spoon may indicate that it was used for condiments.
