A clipped and worn Medieval silver penny of Edward IV, first reign (1461-1470). Uncertain mint (North 1991: 84-89; refs: 1539, 1540, 1591, 1592, 1593, 1600, 1603).
Obverse: [ ]; Crowned bust facing, quatrefoil to left of neck.
Reverse: [ ]; Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.
Diameter: 13.8mm. Weight: 0.50g.
The right of the neck is worn but the mark would be a quatrefoil or 'B'.
