A rectangular early medieval lead alloy composite weight (65.55g, 2.31oz) with inlaid sinuous copper alloy wire decoration on the ends of both sides across the short axis and two integrally cast copper alloy cylinders offset at the centre. Circa AD 800-1100.


Lead weights with copper alloy objects impressed into them are typical of the 9th to 10th century AD. See also BH-D4FA0E, SF-F1F814.
