A lead alloy post medieval possible pin, dating from c. 1540 - 1900 AD. The artefact consists of the head of the pin, the shank is missing. The head is flat on one side and sub circular. On the face there is moulded decoration, There are five raised pellets around a central raised pellet, surrounding this is a raised curved double border following the shape of the pellets. At the narrow edge of the head is a circular socket where the shank would have originally attached. Pm the reverse the surface is raised where the socket attaches. Above this are two circular rivets which are worn and broken. The pin head is a light yellow white colour with grey patches. It measures 19.5mm in length, 15.6mm in width, 4.1mm in thickness and weighs 3.96g.
