A complete flint Scraper of Mesolithic date (9,000-3,450 BC). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface contains three predominant negative scars. The proximal and distal ends have been blunted. The right hand edge retains cortex at the proximal end. The remainder of the right and entire left hand edges have semi-abrupt retouch. The distal left hand edge tapers in. The ventral surface is predominantly flat with a small bulb of percussion with a negative scar over the blub situated at the distal end. The lithic retains a minor amount of cortex and is therefore a secondary flake.
The flint is light brown in colour with blue/cream recortification. The cortex is mid-brown in colour.
