A complete and worn Medieval silver penny of Edward III (1327-1377), minted at London. Third (florin) coinage, 1344-1351 (North 1991: 47, ref: 1113).

Obverse: EDWR AnGL [DnS hY]B (Lombardic N; annulet stops); Crowned bust facing with a bifoliate crown.

Reverse: CI[VI]/TAS/LOn/[D]O[n] (Lombardic N); Long cross dividing the inscription with three pellets in each quadrant.

Diameter: 17.0mm. Weight: 0.81g. DA=5-6.
