A complete copper-alloy mount of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. The mount is formed of a thin sheet of concavo-convex pressed metal. It is sub-rectangular with a central oval boss divided into three bands. Trifoliate terminal projects above and below. A single central rivet is retained.

The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The mount is 18.9mm long, 11.5mm wide, 4.8mm thick and weighs 0.9g.

Similar mounts are illustrated in Egan and Pritchard, p.204, fig.128, no. 1100 and also recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database as NMS-6A9E4F.
