A complete copper-alloy strap loop belt mount of medieval date, circa AD 1150 - 1450. The mount has an elongated D-shaped loop with a single collared knop on the outer curved edge. An integral attachment rivet is present at the centre of the straight edge and would have been used to hold the mount in place on the strap.
The metal has a dark green patina and is worn. The mount is 26.8mm long, 15.8mm wide, 5.1mm thick and weighs 3.3g.
Similar mounts can be seen in Egan and Pritchard, p.230, fig.145 and on the database as YORYM-01D642, YORYM-5041F0, LEIC-13D791 and YORYM-8A9DC7.
