Unique ID: NLM-813D8F

Object type certainty: Possibly
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

Flint possible scraper. A flake with broad and narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side, a positive hinge fracture at its narrower end, and with a slightly concave ventral surface. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one end edge. Subsequently chipped around its edges. Dense creamy patina and light orange staining may suggest the object has endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment, possibly followed by its incorporation into gravels. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC

Length: 38.4mm, Width: 28.1mm, Thickness: 5.8mm, Weight: 9.16gms
