Silver penny of Elizabeth I the initial mark is illegible, though it is possibly a bell and possibly therefore dates to 1582-3. The obverse has the bust of the queen facing left with the legend E D G ROSA SINE SPINA. The reverse has a squared shield on long cross fourchée dividing the legend CIVI/TAS/LON/DON.
