Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate. On the reverse is a single pierced lug that would have held the spring, which is now missing. The undecorated bow emanates from the front of the head plate with a moulded knee at the apex; the lower leg is again undecorated and terminals with a flat semi-circular foot. The catch plate on the reverse is closed. Date 75-175AD
