A Post-Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, probably dating to c. AD 1600-1800. The fitting consists of a sub-rectangular plate, slightly tapering towards the base and with with an expanded trilobed terminal at the apex and flanged collar at the base. A forward facing hook expands from below the collar, terminated in a moulded zoomorphic head. There are two rivet holes on the longitudinal median line of the plate. The plate is decorated with an incised foliate motif.
