A sherd of colour coated fineware. New Forest ware. The fabric is reduced blue-grey, and tempered with fine sand. The exterior and interior surfaces are covered in a dark purple-black slip. It is highly fired, resulting in the vitrification of the slip on the exterior. A body sherd from a narrow-based beaker. Wheel made. Slightly abraded.
