A cast lead weight probably dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval periods, about AD 1100-1800. The object is of rounded sub-triangular form and has a height of 22.19mm, a width of 14.95mm, and a thickness of 9.92mm. It weighs 14.86g. There is an elongated oval perforation for suspension. There are grooves in either side of this perforation (towards the apex of the triangle) where the line from which the weight was suspended has worn into the lead. Although its mass is only a little over half an ounce, the object is probable a line or net weight, not one intended for measurement.
