A sherd of Black Burnished ware. The fabric is the South West variant (WA fabric 1B) with a pale grey reduced core and black slipped margins. Hard and gritty, tempered with abundant rounded quartz and occasional iron. A rim sherd from a flanged bowl (WA type 25).The flange is dropped from the pointed rim. Handmade. Abraded.
