Incomplete silver continental long cross penny minted in the name of John, Duke of Brabant c.1296-1300AD (Mayhew type 44). Obverse has bust facing, wearing a chaplet of roses with the legend +I DVX LI[MBV]RGIE, with annulets between each word. The reverse has a long cross pattée, with three pellets in each quarter, dividing the legend D[VX]/BRA/BAN/TIE.
