A copper-alloy Roman sestertius, contemporary copy of a coin of Trajan (AD 98-117), probably dating to the period c.AD 103-117 (Reece period 5). [S P Q R OPTIMO] PRINCIPI, S C reverse type depicting unclear standing figure left, possibly Ceres or Roma, holding vertical sceptre and unclear object in right hand. Prototype of the mint of Rome, cf. RIC II nos. 478, 483 passim.
