Lead weight. Cast sub-circular weight of plano-convex form with a broad flat face and a narrower flat face, and with a central tapered aperture of diameter 12-9mm, widest on the broader flat side; shrinkage lines there may suggest the object was cast in an open mould. It is uncertain whether the aperture was moulded, drilled or pierced. The surface is, overall, unusually uneven. Patinated and abraded. Perhaps used as a line weight.
