Early Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) copper alloy stirrup terminal, 22mm in length, 9mm wide, 7mm thick with a weight of 3.15g.
The object is sub rectangular in form and U shaped in cross section. It is very worn but is probably a zoomorphic terminal. It is mostly formed of an oval shaped plate with a hollow underside and slightly rounded upper surface, representing a head. It then has a semi-circular projection on its underside, corresponding to a rounded projection at its end, representing a snout.
