A Medieval copper alloy harness pendant and suspension mount, probably dating to c. AD 1150-1300. The suspension mount comprises of a rectangular sheet of copper alloy folded at one end to form a loop and with a rectangular slot cut to accommodate the suspension loop of the pendant. There are two circular rivet holes positioned on the longitudinal median line and a separate copper alloy axis bar is held within the fold. The pendant itself is circular in plan, and concavo-convex, with a transverse attachment loop projecting from the edge.
The pendant weighs 7g and measures 54.76mm in length and 13.1mm in width and is 1.44mm in thickness. The mount section measures 33.81mm in length, 11.61mm in width and 1.44mm in thickness. The pendant section is 28.92mm in length, 13.1mm in width and 6.51mm in height at the suspension loop.
