An incomplete and very worn lead alloy spindle whorl probably dating from the late Early Medieval period or the Medieval period, about AD 850 - AD 1500. It is not possible to assign it to a Walton Rogers type. With its current damage and wear, it is roughly pentagonal with a large circular central hole of 8.3mm diameter. It is fairly flat in cross-section, with rounded edges. There is no decoration on the spindle whorl. The diameter of the spindle whorl is 18.8mm, the thickness is 3.8mm, and the weight is 5.9g.
