A silver medieval coin; a Scottish cut half penny of Alexander II (AD 1214 - 1249), Short Cross and Stars, Phase D, head type A, dating from AD 1235 - 1249. Mint of Roxburgh. See Spink (2003) Coins of Scotland, Ireland and the Islands number 5035 on page 15. It is 18.6mm long, 9.6mm wide and 1mm thick. Weight 0.77g.
