Fragment of a Roman copper alloy Crossbow brooch, part of one hexagonally sectioned wing with an embedded axis bar, a collar and an onion terminal. The collar carries a cable pattern formed from diagonal slashing. The front face of the wings is serrated and there are two blind-drilled holes on the top face. The break is not recent. Extant length 23.5mm. Diameter of terminal 12.3 - 12.7mm. c.320 - c.410.
