A complete copper alloy coin weight, for the Portuguese moidore and 'joe' gold coins, issued between 1760 and 1773 AD.
Both faces are marked with S D above 13, 6. Indicating a weight equivalent to that of thirteen (13) shillings and six (pence).
It has a diameter of 19.6mmm and is 2.3 mm thick. It weighs 4.0 g (0.14 oz).
The coin weight is a mid to dark brown colour, with an even surface patina. It has suffered a minor degree of abrasion, resulting in a loss of some of the original surface detail.
