A crudely cast, hemispherical lead weight of probably Medieval to Post Medieval date, AD 1250 - 1800. The centre of the base is slightly concave. It is 55.1mm in diameter and 31.8mm thick. It weighs 560g (1lb 4oz), so could be a 1 and 1/4 pound weight, or even a 1 and 1/2 pound weight in the troy system. It could also be a weight that was not used for measuring, such as a counterweight.
