Slightly squashed post-medieval copper alloy thimble with a pair of encircling lines within a plain band above the base. The rest of the sides and the low conical top are covered with a continuous spiral of oval indentations. A circular maker's mark, of an equal-armed cross, is stamped before the start of the spiral. Diameter c.17mm. Height 23.5mm. Probably a Nuremberg product. c.1520 - c.1620.
