Silver coin. Scots twenty pence of Charles I (1625-1649). Jo Ahmet kindly comments: 'This looks to be third issue rather than second judging by that inscription',  probably issue of 1637-1642.

Obverse description: Bust left, top of crown scrapes inner circle, XX behind head.

Obverse inscription: CAR.D.G.SCOT.ANG.FR.&.HIB.REX

Reverse description: Crowned thistle.

Reverse inscription: IVST.THRONVM.FIRMAT.

Diameter: 15.7mm, Weight: 0.72gms, die axis: 3
